About

A woman is sitting on a chair, smiling and holding a stack of cards labeled "Pocket Guide". She has long, wavy hair and is wearing a green t-shirt. The background is plain brown.

I’m Brittany Higgins, a former labor and delivery nurse turned doula, and I’m passionate about changing the way we talk about birth. After nearly a decade inside the hospital system, I saw firsthand how outdated policies, provider bias, and a lack of informed consent left so many women feeling powerless in one of the most pivotal moments of their lives. I knew there had to be a better way.

Now, as an educator and advocate, I help women take radical responsibility for their birth experiences—bridging the gap between holistic and medicalized birth and equipping them with the knowledge they need to make informed decisions. I believe birth doesn’t have to be something that happens to you—it can be an empowering, transformative experience when women are truly supported and educated.
